About Me

With a Home-Economics Degree in Clothing and Textiles from Holland, I have taught pattern drafting, tailoring and dressmaking for over 40 years at NAIT, Marvel and Red Deer College. I brings a wealth of experience and humor to our creative sewing world.

 Starting my own Professional Dressmaking School (located in Central Sewing Machines in Edmonton) ten years ago has proven to be a great success and is still expanding.

 I have written five instructional dressmaking books and designed a classy, stylish line of commercial patterns. Besides teaching different sewing courses (from beginners to the professional level) in my Edmonton classes, I have taught workshops in Calgary, Hinton, Las Vegas, Victoria and Vancouver. I was a guest columnist with the Edmonton Journal and Calgary Herald for many years.

 My mission in life: Teach women how to make their patterns fit and make you look EVEN MORE fabulous.
